Potato and Onion Pie

5-6 cups / 1500 ML | Potatoes |
1/4 cup / 50 ml | Butter or Margarine |
2 thinly sliced | Onions |
4 tbsp / 60 ml | Grated cheese |
1/2 cup / 125 ml | Milk |
to taste | Salt |
to taste / to taste | Pepper |
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees 1) Wash, peel and boil potatoes. 2) Heat fat in a pan and slightly fry onions over a gentle heat without browning for a minute. 3) Slice cooked potatoes and place on a greased pie plate and cover with a layer of onions and a little cheese and season lightly. 4) Bake for 30-35 minutes.This potato recipe is brought to you courtesy of Carolyn Atkinson.
