Ingredients

Ingredient Amount
1 1/5 lbs / 680g corned beef
1 turnip small, cubed
1 head of cabbage, quartered
1 onion, large whole
4 carrots, large sliced
8 potatoes, russet/baking whole or halved your choice skin on or off
to cover water

Directions

In a large stewing pot cook corned beef in water (just enough to cover-) Simmer for 1 hour. Add whole peeled onion and quartered cabbage to pot, adding enough water to cover. Simmer for 1 hour. Add cubed turnip, sliced carrots and potatoes. (depending on size I add them whole or halve the really large ones.) Add enough water to cook. Boil for about 1 more hour or until potatoes are cooked through. Enjoy!
