1 1/5 lbs / 680g | corned beef |
1 | turnip small, cubed |
1 | head of cabbage, quartered |
1 | onion, large whole |
4 | carrots, large sliced |
8 | potatoes, russet/baking whole or halved your choice skin on or off |
to cover | water |
Directions
In a large stewing pot cook corned beef in water (just enough to cover-) Simmer for 1 hour. Add whole peeled onion and quartered cabbage to pot, adding enough water to cover. Simmer for 1 hour. Add cubed turnip, sliced carrots and potatoes. (depending on size I add them whole or halve the really large ones.) Add enough water to cook.
